Here are 3 of Judah's favorite things that he received for christmas.
#1 the lion of Judah... or at least thats what we call it
This was a gift from my mom and ended up being Judah's favorite gift of the day. (to be fair Judah slept through most of Christmas so he has no clue half the items he received!) It is musical and even moves it head. Its a symbol of the lion and the lamb at peace together as it will be when Christ returns. Judah was sitting on my lap when i opened the gift for him. He looked at it and then began petting the lion. He felt the differences between the mane and the body and the whiskers, etc... there are a lot of textures on the little animal. It was amazing for me to watch because it was the first time that Judah had ever been that focused on any object and the first time he really reached out for an object. It held his attention for about 15 minutes (which is a long time for an 11 week old!) he was entranced by it, and i was entranced by him :) i couldn't get over how intently he was looking at and feeling it. I could tell he was reaching a new level of his development. There was of course a ton of hustle and bustle around us but Judah, the lion, and i were in our own little world

#2 The wubbanub
This is also Nicholas' favorite gift: part stuffed monkey, part pacifier. Nicholas loves that he can easily find it, grab it, and stick it in Judah's mouth to curb his crying. It is a very practical gift that has gotten quite a bit of use!
Once again i like it because i got to see watch how Judah interacted with it. While the wubbanub was in judah's mouth he would hug the monkey- another first. When the wubbanub was not in his mouth he would hold on to the monkey's arms or legs, or grab the head or tail. He can lift it it, move it, play with it. he can even put it in his own mouth which i feel is a huge achievement for such a little guy- that takes a lot of hand-eye coordination!

#3 The Jump-a-roo
Judah loves the lights, sounds and colors, and as soon as he grows another 3 inches he will love bouncing in it! Grandma Patty got Judah this for Christmas. We didn't think he would be able to enjoy it for a while still, but the only thing the instructions said was that baby can use it once he able to fully support his own head. So we thought what the hay lets give it a go... we laughed so hard at his little dangling feet! i don't think he minds too much he still has a lot of fun.
Once again its fun to see him react to different animal noises and flashing lights, and he can just barely reach a couple of the toys. He can almost make the lizard spin all the way around :)
This is just too precious!
