ugh the worst of all chores! i feel like i am going to clip his skin! The best time to do it is obviously while baby is asleep, but more specifically I try to clip Judahs little nails while he is asleep in the carseat. That way he is completely stable and not going to move. Unlike when someone else is holding him the carseat allows 360 degree access so i can figure out the best angle to get at his little fingers.
c) you could pay $30 on this "modest middles" tank for nursing moms or get the exact same thing at forever 21 for $2.50 (just buy their cheap cami, the straps are long enough that i can pull it down)I LOVE wearing it tho so that my side doesn't show when i lift my shirt.
a) craigslists and ebay are the greatest things ever! we bought everything for pennies on the dollar! this is the one time you can get away with buying used and the kid can't complain. When he's 12 he's going to want a nice pair of expensive nikes and she will already be eyeing that coach purse... but the baby doesn't know the difference!
Afternoon October 8th- At noon I was finally fully dilated, but had no urge to push. That urge never came L so finally a little after 3:00 we decided to go ahead and start pushing. Oh that was so painful! After pushing for a while he was finally crowning- even more pain! Then at 4:28 out came my beautiful little boy! | look at that cone head! |
This was a gift from my mom and ended up being Judah's favorite gift of the day. (to be fair Judah slept through most of Christmas so he has no clue half the items he received!) It is musical and even moves it head. Its a symbol of the lion and the lamb at peace together as it will be when Christ returns. Judah was sitting on my lap when i opened the gift for him. He looked at it and then began petting the lion. He felt the differences between the mane and the body and the whiskers, etc... there are a lot of textures on the little animal.

Since plane tickets were sky high we decided to drive 1,000+ miles from Seattle to Ventura. This also allowed me to see some of my friends along the way that i would not have otherwise gotten to see (luvya Heidi, Leah, and Laura!) The drive was pretty slow going considering Judah needed to be fed and cuddled every few hours (every three on the way down, but he was hating his car seat and didn't make it much past two hours on the way back up) In the end we made it safe and sound and had a great visit with friends and family. We enjoyed taking Judah to visit some of our favorite places (in-n-out!) and look forward to bringing him back when he can enjoy them a little more! Oh and we got some much needed sunshine!!!
Other highlights include getting to meet a whole flock of babies! The Hisayasu's gigantic 20 lb 4 month old twins, Adelle Cooper who looks just like her daddy (except in the cutest most feminine way possible), Dave and Becca's little Blake who just poked his head out the Moby, Matilda the cutest little firey-hot 7 week old red head, and of course Judah's 2nd cousin once removed Chase Coert. We also met 2 babies to be: Heidi and Jennifer's pregnant bellies (as of about 1/2 an hour ago Jemmo is no longer pregnant but a proud mama of 2! sorry Heidi still counting down!) It's crazy how many friends of ours are having babies! it really makes us miss being back in California where our kids could grow up together. We are so grateful to have friends up here in WA with babies within weeks of Judah that we get to share these moments with.
